My last week of school

   This is the last week of my entire college career! The feeling is overwhelming. I am so happy to be done with my classes, but at the same time sad that I didn't take advantage of many of the opportunities the school provides. What went well this week is that my supervisor at my internship said there is a 99% chance that I will be offered a position at the company. The most challenging part this week was coding my company webpage. I got stuck multiple times and became stressed about the deadline. I look forward to exploring new job opportunities after I graduate.     This week not too much has happened to change my feelings positively or negatively about STEM career plans. Since I was told there is a one percent chance I may not be offered a position, I am looking at alternative options. The assigned videos are amazing for my mental health and have helped me cope in a lot of ways. One of those ways is simply understanding myself and how I chose to react. Overall I ...

A new beginning

This year I believe I have become the best version of myself so far and I can't wait to see where I will be this time next year. Going forward I am going to continue the new habits I have been practicing to help my mental and physical health. This includes exercising 4 times a week at the gym. Getting up a half-hour earlier to put some makeup on for work. Doing my nighttime skincare routine at least 4 times a week. Lastly keeping my room and car clean so that I feel organized. These habits have changed through the semester whether that is going to the gym first thing in the morning or right after work, but what was most important was consistency and holding myself accountable. My advice to my fellow STEM students is to be persistent on your goals and make sure to always take a step back out of your insane schedule to check on your health. It only takes 14 days to build a habit and then it becomes second nature.
